Winter Snow

We had a good time playing in the snow over Christmas break. Randy was taking all of the pictures, so he is not in any. He did get to play with all the kids though. :)

Thanksgiving

Here are some pictures from Thanksgiving at Grandma Jeanne's and Grandad Chris' house. We had a good time getting together with all the Thurman and Ahern families.

Here are Ryan, Lindsey, Preston, Elijah, Nathan, and Noah. The only one missing of the cousins is Chloe.

Pumpkins

The kids always like carving pumpkins. This year we got to do it two different times. Great-Grandpa Dave gave us two pumpkins to carve. The boys really liked getting their hands messy. Then Grandma Jeanne carved a really big one for us. She grew this one at her house. Cousin Ryan was able to participate in this carving. The boys always like playing with Ryan. He is very close in age to Elijah, so they have a good time.

Mizzou Games

This fall we were able to attend 3 MU football games. We went to the opening game. The weather was great and we had a good time sitting on the grass. The 2nd game we went to was with Randy's work. They are always very kind each year and pay for families to attend one game. This year's game was very rainy and cold. But we still went and had a great time. The 3rd game we went to was homecoming. Randy's parents came down for this game. We attended the parade in the morning. The weather was a little colder, but we still had a good time. The kids were exhausted after the game and even fell asleep on the way home. This is very unusual for Elijah to do. It was only about 9 pm, but we had had a long day.

MU basketball games are always a lot of fun, too. We have been able to attend one so far. Hopefully we can make it to at least one more before the season is over. The kids really like MU games. They love seeing Truman the Tiger, but every time he gets too close, they get scared. :)

Elijah is showing us his Tiger shirt. He was excited to wear it.

Nebraska Trip

We went out to Nebraksa a few weeks ago. We hadn't been since last Thanksgiving. We were out there for 4 days. It was really nice to see all of the family. We were able to see some of Randy's cousins that we had not seen in a long time. The reason for our visit was not very fun though. Randy's aunt Erm had been battling cancer for about 8 years. She passed away after a long battle. We always enjoyed Erm. She will be missed very much.

Hay rides

The last few times we have gone to my Mom's house, Grandad Chris has given the kids hayrides. We have had a really good time playing outside at their house.

Great Grandma and Grandpa's house

We always enjoy visiting family. The kids were able to visit great grandma and great grandpa a few times this summer and fall before they headed to Yuma, AZ. We always miss them when they are gone over the winter.

Summer Activities

We went down to the Lake of the Ozarks for a 3 day vacation this summer. My grandma and grandpa were there, as well as my aunt, uncle, and a few cousins. My family is always very generous to let us stay with them and let us use their boat. The kids had a really good time swimming and riding on the boat. Elijah especially liked riding on the tube. The weather wasn't too hot, so it was very enjoyable.

We also went back down to the Lake so that I could attend a conference for my new job. I will be teaching middle school students online this year. I will only be teaching one class, 7th grade US History. It begins next week. It is a job that should only take 10 hours a week away from my home life. I don't won't to do anything to neglect my family. I hope this will fit with our family. Anyway, I attended a conference and the boys had a little more vacation time. My Mom, Chris, Joni, and Ryan all came down too to enjoy at little time at the Lake. I was able to do some mini golf in the evening with everyone.

Look at Elijah's hair!

Friends

We were able to have some of our friends come and stay with us the last two weekends. Elijah and Preston had a lot of fun playing with all the kids.

The kids all dressed up for church.

Hannah and Elijah hugging. So cute!

It looks like Elijah and Ladan are dressed up to be on the same baseball team. Also, look how much taller Ladan is than Elijah. He is 8 months older, but Ladan is very tall!

Gabe has some really cute curls.

Summer Fun

We have had a good summer so far. We were able to attend a Cardinals game at Kansas City recently. The boys really enjoy baseball. It is one of their favorite activities to play at home. They love going to games and seeing the players.

They also enjoy pretending at home. One of their favorites is to dress up like Spiderman.

And of course we have had a lot of fun playing outside. Preston is really enjoying himself on the swing set. He loves to slide down the slide. Elijah's newest thing is to slide down on his belly.
