Birthdays

Again, I know that this was a long time ago, but since I just started the blog, I wanted to show the fun events that already took place.

Both Elijah and Preston had birthdays in February. Elijah turned 3 and Preston turned 1. We had a joint birthday party for the boys for some family to attend. All of the cousins on my side were able to get together for the party. It was a lot of fun. The kids played "pin the number on Thomas". Instead of a donkey and tail, we had a Thomas the Train poster. All the kids had a number to try and put on the side of Thomas. It was quite funny to watch, since all the kids are really too young for this game.
Some of the pictures are from the party and others are from their actual birthday day. They are both growing so fast!

Winter Time Fun

I know it hasn't snowed in a long time, but I thought these pictures were cute. We had a lot of fun this winter. Preston had a few face-down falls in the snow, which he did not like, but over all he did great being so little. I think he looks like the boy from "A Christmas Story" in his snow suit. This was the first year Elijah was able to really have fun in the snow. He was even able to sled down our hill on his own. This was a huge improvement from last year. It seemed like we had a lot of snow this year that we were able to enjoy.

Rainy Days

Some people complain about rainy days, but I have been enjoying my time with my boys. During the day, Elijah, Preston and I have a lot of fun finding things to do around the house. The boys are growing up so quickly. Preston is becoming a very "big boy". He will pretend play with Elijah. It is so nice to see the two of them playing together with trucks, little people, or whatever the choice toy is. Now, don't get me wrong, Preston still likes to come over to Elijah's "setup" and just plow through it. Of course this enrages Elijah and then a chasing game begins (that Preston loves, but Elijah does not). It is a blast to be a mom.

And of course on rainy days, Randy is not able to work outside as much. This drives him crazy, but I get to have more time with him in the house. However, after awhile, he has to find something to do either in the garage or in his workshop downstairs. Elijah is getting old enough that he gets to go "help dad work on something". Elijah loves this. He gets quality daddy time. He is able to learn how to "be a man", to take care of and provide for your family like daddys do, as I tell him.

I love the rainy days...
