Busy Weekends

The last few weekends we have been really busy. After we went to the Arch, Tamme had to take the ACT. She wants to attend a college in Thailand that is English-speaking. They require her to take the ACT in English to attend. So, she spent a grueling 5 hours taking the test. She did not spend much time studying for it, because she wanted to see how well she could do with no preparation.

The next weekend we were able to have an overnight stay with Grandma and Grandpa in Plattsburg. Elijah really likes to chase their two cats around the house. He always says that we are going to Trisha's house when we go there. That same weekend, we attended a birthday party for our friend Ben who turned 30. It was a surprise party with an 80's theme. It was a lot of fun to see everyone dressed up in 80's fashion. And of course, we had a great time!

The next weekend we were blessed to attend a church meeting at New Liberty Church. They were having their annual meeting in which several preachers from several states attend. Last year at this meeting, Randy and I had the hardest time with Elijah. It was one of those days where he would not listen to us or obey anything. It was one of those days when we were questioning all that we were doing because nothing was working. And this behavior does not go well with church. So, I was a little nervous about how he would be this year. But, praise be to God, because he was so excellent! Most of the time at church, he does a good job, but for this service, he was so well behaved. We arrived a little late, for certain reasons, so seats were limited. We had to squeeze into this little section. I had to hold Preston, and everyone's legs were touching as we sat. I thought this would cause even more problems because at Rocky Fork, we have an entire pew just for us. But, NO!! He was amazing. I was so thankful! Praise God!

Last weekend we went to a Mizzou baseball game. Randy's work had a tailgate before the game and they paid for our tickets. Each year, Randy's work does this for a Mizzou football game, but this was the first year for a Mizzou baseball game. The kids and I had a lot of fun. It was a little chilly, and windy, but the sun was out, so it was fine. Our seats were also out of the wind, so it was a good temperature for us.

The next few weekends are going to be busy, also. Tamme is only going to be with us 4 more weekends, so we are going to try and do some fun things with her before she leaves.
